Exploring worlds of meaning.
Seeking works of beauty.
Forging civil discourse.

Conversations

We engage big and moving ideas with professors, writers, thinkers, practitioners, and overall smart people. Topics span the humanities — we’ve explored the moral depth of Tolstoy’s War and Peace, the modern relevance of Taoism, Jane Austen’s advice on wealth, Rumi’s spiritual poetry, Athens, Rome, and Jerusalem. Wisdom worth learning remains relevant, but must be packaged afresh.

Publication

Everyone feels it on some level. We crave a deeper discourse to pull us out of the shallows. We seek a richer conversation to rouse our souls. We pursue a nobler vision to shun the machinery of fear. We thirst for timeless wisdom to water the soil of now. This space offers a dialogue of heart and mind — an affection for all that is probing and profound, an affinity for the best of human thought, a respect for sincere searching.

Let us see if there is anyone who could share our dream of a world joined together through literature and beautiful books.

This is such a great project. I love the idea of cultivating these kinds of conversations where ‘little intellectual platoons’ have places to talk about stuff that’s big – as well as the wonderful individual portraits that novelists give us – stuff that you can get your teeth into.

Books & Bridges is a tremendously valuable social project as well as an aesthetic project. I’m honored to be part of it.
